The chocolate shake has great taste and is filling. For the calories it offers, it's a perfect vegetarian protein choice for those who are allergic to soy -- like myself.
While our family grew up with Special K cereal, the gluten aspect could be improved upon by soaking whole grains overnight and then combining that mixture with the chocolate (or vanilla) shake for a more substantial meal. Gluten-free grains, such as spelt, brown rice, and oats make a nice high fiber mixture.
It's often difficult to limit calories, sugars, and fats at other meals, while still getting enough of the right proteins and vitamins to maintain, or achieve, good health.
