I tried the South Beach diet 4 years ago and dropped 105 pounds in 1 year. Since then I have gained most of the weight back. Have tried going on the diet again, but it does not work like the first time I tried it. Can you tell me was is going on?

I've been on the south beach diet for 3 days and instead of losing weight I've gained 3 pounds! how is that possible? I'm considering breaking the diet please advise!!

I lost 2 pounds the first week and 2 pounds the second week on the South Beach Diet. I was perfectly fine with that. The third week I lost 1 pound and so far on the fourth week I haven't lost anything. Giving up Carbs wasn't really a big deal for me and I've been very strict with what I've been eating. I have a lot of weight to lose but am getting very frustrated. I constantly check my macros and make sure I'm within or below the range for the day. I don't know what else to do at this point and I have a freezer full of South Beach Diet food. I haven't let myself move to Phase 2 yet but really, what's the point?
