Well, look. It's hard to find the truth about weight loss slimming pills and weight loss supplements. After all, who would tell you? The manufacturers? Not likely -- they have something to sell.
How about the salesmen? Nope. They have to make a living too.
You can only get the truth about "slimming pills" from someone who has nothing to gain.
You see the magazine ads, where they say "Lose 10 pounds in 3 days." Sounds good, right?
Or the television ads where the glamorous model went from a size 26 to a size 6 and now could pose for Victoria's Secret.
You see promises of "easy weight loss," "lose weight without dieting," and "lose weight while you sleep with the miracle slimming pill..."
The pictures are beautiful, the bodies are perfect, and it sounds so believable. The fat melts away and you don't have to do anything.
Unfortunately it doesn't work that way.
There are no pills or potions or anything else that will take off weight without you doing anything.
Anybody that tries to sell you something with those kinds of promises is just trying to get your money. It just doesn't work.
There have been all kinds of drugs developed for weight loss. For the most part they didn't work. The ones that did work had so many side effects they were pulled from the market.
Thyroid hormone used to be given for weight loss. But that can cause life threatening side effects.
Then there was Dexedrine -- they call it "speed" on the street -- which causes mental problems and addiction.
Phen-fen was a very popular weight loss drug. But it caused permanent heart damage and was pulled from the market.
Remember Cortislim? The manufacturers were sued for fraud in the United States and lost millions of dollars in fines.
How about Hoodia? Hoodia gordonii -- a cactus used by the hunters in the Kalahari Desert to ward off thirst and hunger. Now it's sold for weight loss. How about that?
Well, if you go hunting in the Kalahari maybe it will work for you.
But did you know there isn't a single scientific study that shows that Hoodia is safe and effective for weight loss? And what's worse -- most of what you buy doesn't even contain Hoodia!!
It's just another fraud.
But what about the web sites that compare all the weight loss pills and recommend the best ones? They're just camouflaged sales sites. They're not evaluating anything.
New drugs and pills and supplements and miracle this and that pop up everyday. They sell to millions of people. The result? Come on...
You know the result:
There is a law in physics: For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction. It works the same way with weight loss pills.
If it makes you lose weight when you take it then something else bad is going to happen. It's just nature's way.
Pills that cause you to lose weight do it by disrupting your normal body chemistry. That's not normal. That's not the way to lose weight. That's not the way to become healthy. And it doesn't work.
Taking weight loss pills sounds like the "easy way" but it's not. It's the hard way. It's hard on your body. It's hard on you because it doesn't work.
Instead, start with proper nutrition. Good food -- enough to start bringing your body back to strength and health and energy -- not diet pills -- is the first step on your route to success with weight loss.
