The best workout I have ever experienced was Power Yoga in Addison Texas. The first time I attended the class I was in a pool of sweat with a smile from ear to ear! It was very spiritual!
Power Yoga touches your mind and your body. The class is intense and lasts for an hour. The teacher is awesome and anyone can join in.
It will leave you sore but not in pain. Using stretching and strengthening moves builds your stamina and muscles in ways you would not know about if you only did weights or running. In fact it is a great complement to those activities and will calm and focus your mind which is a great side benefit.
All ages and body types can participate because you work at your own level. There is a version of each pose for everyone to do, and you will discover that your perfect body is waiting to be brought out by yoga.
It doesn't seem like it would be so hard but it is kick butt, and will literally change you from the inside out! I have tried many different types of exercise but Power Yoga is by far my favorite.
You can get DVD's and do these workouts from the comfort of your own home if you cannot attend a studio. I highly recommend it!
