Krav Maga is an Israeli self defense and fighting style that helped me get stronger and more confident.
First, let me tell you, I had never exercised before in my entire life. I got a doctors note to avoid P.E. in High School.
Then my children started taking Martial Arts which I became interested.
I took Tae Kwon Do and after a while they introduced a new program, Krav Maga.
I was intimidated to go to this class but my curiosity got the best of me.
The class started out with lots of calisthenics to warm up, sit ups, jumping jacks and push ups.
Then we did drills of punching pads, kicking bags, and punching pads while being dragged away, throwing knees and elbows.
We also worked on simple easy ways to get away from an attacker.
I was sore for days but went back and got stronger and more confident each time.
