I have been overweight my entire life. I have lost ten to twenty pounds here and there throughout my adult life but I always gained it right back.
In January of this year, I decided I was going to give weight loss another try. I began by calorie counting and trying to be more active.
About two weeks into my weight loss mission my boyfriend came home with a book he saw at a grocery store. The book was "The Eat-Clean Diet" by Tosca Reno and it has changed my life.
I cut out soda, coffee, unnecessary sugars, increased my fiber intake, and followed Tosca's tips and recipes in the book.
Suddenly, the weight began to fall off. I have to be honest, the majority of my success in weight loss has been because of my diet.
I really began exercising in earnest about three months ago. Before that, I did twenty minutes here and there every few days or so.
I began this diet at 222 pounds and almost seven months later, I now weigh 175 pounds and feel great. I began this diet at a size 20 and am now a size 12.
I can't believe how great I feel and honestly how easy it has been. I was most worried about sugar cravings but they really have not bothered me.
I look at the Eat-Clean Diet as so much more than a diet. I look at it as a way of life. I plan to continue eating clean for the rest of my life.
My goal weight is 135 pounds and I hope to be there by January of 2011.
