The Curves Diet was semi successful - they broke it down into daily calorie amounts.
One phase required you to eat 2,000 - 2,500, the second 1,600 - 1,700, and the third 1,200 - 1,300. This was supposed to boost your metabolism.
I felt that the diet helped but the exercise through the Curves program was much better in helping me to lose weight.
I feel like diets are too restrictive and unrealistic to obey in general - and if I exercised at Curves more than 3 days a week I noticed I lost more weight than I did just dieting.
I still eat loosely based on the Curves diet - I keep track of my calories but I hate the nitpicking of food.
Eventually I managed to lose about 100 pounds, and to be honest my weight still changes. I think the Curves diet is the most realistic and easy to follow because it's just based on calorie intake - and exercise is included in it.
Not only do I exercise now at Curves, but I've also taken up kickboxing.
It helped me lose weight the "right" way. It wasn't a crazy water diet or a fifty dollar weight loss pill - it was just common sense, and common sense works.
