You can change your mind about yourself and instantly look better and feel better. How?
Here's an example: You go shopping and the salesperson says, "That's a good color for you," or "That looks nice," or "What a cute blouse." So what are they saying?
They are telling you that you look good. They are telling you that those clothes look good on you.
Now, the key is, what do you do? Do you smile and say to yourself, "Well, yes, I do look good!" Or even say it out loud?
Or do you sort of shrink inside, and give yourself negative messages?
If you tend to be negative about yourself, whether you say it out loud or not, you can start training yourself to do the opposite.
So what should you do when you hear it looks good on you? Buy it. Wear it.
And when you wear it, tell yourself that it looks good. Because it does look good.
When you start doing this you will actually look better. You will feel better. You will be a better person. It can make a big difference in your life.
Are there some ideas that you just can't seem to get out of your head? Then try this:
Is red your favorite color? Then make blue your favorite color. For an hour or a day or a minute, make blue your favorite color. Then pick another one. How about yellow?
Tomorrow red can be your favorite color again.
It's the easiest thing to do in the world. This is an exercise. You can -- and you should -- actually practice it. Absolutely love the color blue for two seconds. Then make green your favorite. Then yellow.
See. Your mind didn't self destruct. You didn't betray anything. It's OK.
Is lemon pie your favorite? Well, when they're out of lemon pie, make cherry pie your favorite! Lemon pie can be your favorite again next week!
If you think that this is a strange idea, try it. Anything can be your favorite. Any color. Any flavor. Any season. For a minute or an hour or forever. It's up to you to decide.
You see some people and they've just got this feeling flowing out of them. They're just strutting and looking great and they're saying, "This is it baby! Look at me!"
Do they always have perfect bodies? No, they don't.
Black women often manage this very well. Take a look at Queen Latifah. Is she skinny? No. But does she just always have that look that says, "Honey, this is fabulous!!!" Yes, she does. And you know what? She does look fabulous.
So, have at it. Change your mind a little. You look fabulous too.
And not only that, but you are getting better all the time. Good today. Even better tomorrow. How's that for a winning combination?
