Losing weight is a lifestyle change. Any diet like this can't work in the short or long term. There simply isn't enough protein to feed muscles and fruits and vegetables to feed the rest of our bodies in this diet.
Our bodies will think they're starving and shut down instead of burning fat.
I agree with the author. The best advice I ever received was from a nurse who told me that it really comes down to "exercise more and eat less".
Our bodies need nutrients to work and the cabbage soup diet will not feed our bodies. I believe in eating healthy, plenty of protein, fruit, vegetables, and small amounts of treats.
Cabbage Soup by: Anonymous
I love it! I have been eating cabbage soup for a week 3 times a day. I snack on a handful of nuts in between.
Food has became a non event for me. It's all in the mind, all my fat friends eat mostly because they are depressed, getting bigger and less attractive when they look into the mirror and upset because nobody wants to touch a stinky jelly-like fat body.
So make food a non event, eat for nutrition not for taste!!!
I walk an hour every day, never overeat, don't smoke, drink alcohol or take drugs. Lot of hobbies and projects. Eating is not one of them.
Exercise and eat tasty cabbage soup for a month and you will drop your dress size and feel healthy!!! It will lower your cholesterol and put you back on track. Also drink at least 2 liters of water and do not eat fruit after 6pm (fermentation not too good over night)
