I had a friend who has done the Atkins diet and he suggested it to me because he had good results.
I had been going to the gym for some time... approximately 2 years. I was putting on some muscle, but also I put some fat on me.
My friend had lost 4 kilograms and didn’t lose any muscle. This was enough for me to start this diet.
Also when I heard that Atkins diet is based mainly on meat I was interested in it more. So I started the diet, cut the carbs in my diet and started to lose fat.
When I started the diet I weighed 90 kilograms. I followed the max weight loss plan that was given in my Atkins book.
I was not supposed to eat more then 20 grams of carbohydrates per day. I was eating lots of meat like pork, beef and chicken. As a result I was losing weight.
It was amazing. I was eating my favorite food (meat) and I was losing weight in same time.
This diet is also based on drinking a lot of water. Drinking so much water was the hardest part, but the result was obvious. I lost 5 kilograms in the first 15 days.
I was on the Atkins Diet for 3 months. In three months I lost 15 kilograms. I was looking better, my muscles were looking better without fat around them and I am still keeping this form.
As the summer is coming I look forward for starting this diet again.
