It's Fast... And It's A Fact Weight Loss Info For You To Use
Dr. Dan's Fast Facts comes to you the first Saturday of every month. Each month we highlight an important study from current research on weight loss. We do the research so you don't have to. And we give you the facts...fast. No fluff. No filler.
They studied...
Breathing problems in overweight teenagers. Out of 61 overweight teenagers, 38 had trouble with breathing that interrupted their sleep.
They found...
They lost an average of 24 kilograms.
Weight loss was successful in treating sleep disordered breathing in these teenagers. The ones with the worst breathing difficulties lost the most weight.
The take home message...
The average weight loss, 24 kilograms, is a lot of weight to lose, but it can be done. This study tells us a couple of things:
One, if overweight kids are having trouble breathing at night, they it's likely that you are too. That will make you feel tired all the time.
Two, if you lose the weight your breathing will get better. Just one more reason to drop those extra pounds.
